Peace follows Grace. But what follows peace? If your answer is “order,” you are right. Peace and order fit together like true love and marriage.
1 Corinthians 14:33 says, “… God is not a God of disorder but of peace.” If there is disorder or confusion in your home, in your workplace or in your church, you can be sure that God is not being followed by men and women, but men and women are telling God to follow them. It’s the same case if you are getting confused about the direction you have to take when you reached a crossroads.
If you want to follow Jesus, then the instruction is clear enough – deny yourself and pick up your cross daily (Matthew 16:24). If you want to prosper in whatever you do, then meditate on God’s law day and night (Psalms 1:3).
God’s word has the answer to all your confusion, to all your problems, to all your sins. All you have to do is seek for it in His word and believe in His promise that you will find it (Proverbs 8:17; Matthew 7:7). But remember that when you seek an answer be sure that you are not being double-minded because James 1:5-7 tells us that you must ask in faith without doubting or you will not receive what you ask for.
There may be confusion and disorder in your home or in your office but if you are resting in God’s word, you will still be at peace. So you can say with all boldness, Let the storms of life come, I am ready.
